Auenland

Discover the floodplain landscapes around the Danube. On roads, paths and trails you walk through the floodplain forest, past lakes and moors, always along the lifeline of Vienna. We cross the habitat of beavers, storks and numerous other wild animals.

You will hear stories from and about the Danube and the importance of waters for urban development and settlement.

The meeting point is the National Park House at Dechantweg 8, where you can get there by public bus line 92B. There is also free parking.

Freudenau

You already know the Prater? You know every meter of the Hauptallee? We will take you away from the beaten track. You will discover the wild fields of Freudenau. Past equestrian facilities from years long gone, you will explore the southern forests of the Prater.

You will hear stories about the natural significance of the Prater, its flora and fauna and its history.

Meeting point is the ASKÖ Riding Centre Freudenau (Freudenau 555). You can get there publicly with the bus line 77A. There is also free parking. The equestrian centre kindly offers us a small storage and changing room as well as toilets.

Donau-Lauf

The Danube is the lifeline of the city of Vienna and appears in many forms. We get to know it during a longer run and look back on an eventful history. How has the river affected the natural environment of the city and what does it bring us sportsmen and women?

Meeting point is the U1 station Alte Donau (exit to Arbeiterstrandbadstraße). The stage ends at the U1 station Nestroyplatz. There is a possibility to stop at the Gasthaus Nestroy.

Prater-Trail

Walking on the plain is too dull for you? Then come up the mountain with us! The Bisamberg is the easternmost mountain of the Alps and has some crisp climbs to offer. The summit panorama rewards us for the effort!
